"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you." Isaiah 60:1
Sisters Speaking into the Lives of Women
I Am Free
By Tanny Jackson
My blog is taken from the pages of a book God Gave me entitled, "The Father Has Need of Me". I pray this will encourage your heart to know you are deeply loved and of great value to our heavenly Father.
I am free from the things
That made me hurt,
I will not receive anything anymore
That devalues my worth!
Remember the woman who was caught in adultery?
(John, Chapter 8) She allowed herself to get caught up in a relationship that devalued her worth as a woman.
She felt the shame, she wore the condemning names, and she took the blame until Jesus stretched out His scepter of grace to her. He looked beyond her sin and saw her need to be washed, cleansed, delivered, set free, and restored to her own marriage. Yes, marriage. She was caught in an adulterous lust affair. Why did she feel she needed someone else? Often times when one steps outside of their marriage into another affair, it is because they are trying to fill a void, to get what they’re not receiving at home. There are other reasons, but it’s all a trick from Satan, and once we take the bait, he sends in his wrecking crew. But our Father who has need of us is greater than any wrecking crew. Amen.
God knows everything there is to know about us. He created us, and He knows how to repair in us what is broken. When my daughter was little, if she broke a toy, she would bring it to me or her dad to fix it. How much more our heavenly Father is willing and able to fix all that we bring to Him. And the awesome thing about God is we have a lifetime warranty on every part of our lives, from head to toe, spirit, mind, body, and soul! We are covered. This is a good place to take a praise break!
You are pregnant with favor By Tanny Jackson
There is a story in 1 Samuel of a man named Elkanah. He had two wives, one had children, but the other was barren, so the one who had children (Peninnah) taunted the other (Hannah) in hopes to rub salt in a tender wound. When you look at the whole picture, even though Peninnah seemed to have everything, she also had a bitter, jealous heart because Elkanah would give Hannah double blessing when it came time to bless. Sisters, don’t be jealous and envious of one another; what you have is just what you need for where God is taking you, and nothing can stop you!
~ 1 Samuel 1:3—6 And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there.
4 And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:
5 But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the Lord had shut up her womb.
6 And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb. KJV
Your enemy does not hate you because of your lack; the truth is you are blessed over and beyond your enemy and he is going to do everything in his limited power to make you think otherwise, remember he comes for 3 reasons…
The thief does not come except to steal (her peace of mind) and to kill, (her dreams) And to destroy (her hopes of ever birthing anything). I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
Peninnah taunted Hannah because of her barren womb, but Peninnah had an empty heart, void of many things, even the love of her husband.
Peninnah wasn’t the enemy; she was used by the enemy; the truth is, she was just another labor pain (so to speak), and before birth, there will be some, but do not allow it cause you to abort the plan God has for your life.
Put your head up and wipe the tears from your eyes, for you are the daughter of a King! You are not the victim! Take off the barren garments of sorrow and put on the garment of praise; rejoice for you are pregnant with favor! There is greatness inside your womb, and in the midst of travail, destiny is being birthed to life—rejoice! Call your family and friends over. Tell them there is a celebration long overdue!
